Harbour Cottage Inn

The Harbour Cottage Inn is an 1870’s Victorian style bed and breakfast. It was built as a part of the Island House, the first summer hotel on Mount Desert Island. Guests can choose from seven private rooms or 2 spacious two-bedroom suites with private bathrooms. All units include the use of bicycles at no additional charge. Ketch, Captain's Nook, Schooner, and Dory are among the private rooms. Two bedroom suites feature private bathrooms, cable television and computer ports. The suites can also be expanded to include adjoining rooms to accommodate up to 6. The Carriage House can accommodate two people and are provided with living room, full kitchen, bathroom with steam-sauna shower, computer port, and private deck. Pier One, a part of the Harbour Cottage Inn, offers weekly waterfront suites. It provides five suites/apartments including a studio cottage featuring queen size beds, linens and towels, telephone with answering machine, make-up mirrors and well equipped kitchens.
