"While admiring the work of other artisans at numerous craft shows some years ago, I noticed the absence of finely crafted and creatively designed toys for children. This started me on my unusual career...being a toymaker. From my earliest toys to those I make now, there is a constant progression in design and craftsmanship. Each year I add to my line or change my display to keep my work unique, fresh and fun. I take pride in having found interesting combinations of cherry, maple and walnut woods. After careful shaping and sanding, the final step involves applying a hand-rubbed mixture of non-toxic walnut oil and beeswax. I am pleased to be achieving my original goal of designing and handcrafting enjoyable and functional wooden toys."
