Nahmakanta Lake Wilderness Camps was established in 1872. It is surrounded by an enormous road less preserve with an amazing variety of wildlife and over 100 species of birds. Its 8 lake front guest cabins accommodate between 2-8 people. All have picture windows facing the lake, screened porches, wood stove, gas lights, gas ranges, refrigerators, cooking and eating utensils, and firm mattresses with fresh linens and blankets. It serves a variety of hearty full course meals. Activities include hiking, canoing, wildlife watching, and fishing.
