Set on 50 private acres within Greater Portland, Spring Harbor Hospital is southern Maine's only private psychiatric treatment and recovery center. This non-profit organization specializes in the care of children and adolescents. It provides inpatient care for children as young as 4 to adults of all ages and conducts programs for youth ages 4 to 21 who experience both serious mental illness and developmental disorders, such as autism. The staff includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinical social workers, occupational therapists, and psychiatric technicians.
