Like the great sailing ships that were dragged down the Kennebunk River to be launched into the Atlantic Ocean, The 1802 House was pulled by oxen from nearby Waterboro where it was constructed in the 19th century. The charming farmhouse is tucked away along the fifteenth fairway of the Cape Arundel Golf Course, in the quaint seaside village of
Kennebunkport. Each of the inn's six guest rooms is furnished with antiques, four-poster beds and features either a fireplace or whirlpool; some have both. A delicious country gourmet breakfast is served in the sunny dining room.
