Brass Lantern Inn

Brass Lantern Inn is a gracious Victorian sea captain's home centrally located on the mid-coast of Maine - a convenient home base from which to explore the coast. You can make many easy day trips to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor; Castine, Deer Isle and Stonington; Rockland and the Farnsworth Museum, and a four-lighthouse trip. Whale watching, schooner sails, hiking, biking, golf, sea kayaking are all available in a short ride. The Penobscot Marine Museum, shops, restaurants and the harbor are all a short walk away. All the rooms have high ceilings and large windows making for sunny, airy rooms. Our elegant dining room has a beautiful bay window and ornate tin ceiling. Spectacular full gourmet breakfasts are served on china and crystal, by candlelight. Breakfasts feature juice,homemade baked goods, a sweet or savor entree, fresh fruit in season, and freshly ground coffee or tea.
