Asticou Inn

Overlooking picturesque Northeast Harbor on Mount Desert Island. The Inn is a grand old hotel, filled with charm and tradition. The best of yesterday is blended with the amenities of today. Built in 1882, the Inn has catered to some of the most influential and famous people of this past century. The Inn is surrounded on both sides by public gardens; the Asticou Azalea Gardens and the Asticou Terrace Gardens. The grounds of the Inn are surrounded with cutting gardens and a special Begonia Garden. Upon entering the Inn one feels as though they have stepped back in time to a place more congenial and pristine. The Inn and its out builds provides 50 guest rooms and suites, its public rooms are filled with fireplaces and original antiques.
