Willowbrook at Newfield

This is the largest fully-restored 19th century museum village in New England. Historic trades and crafts, and over 10,000 artifacts are displayed in 37 buildings which include a bank, photography shop, and barbershop. Highlighted are over 60 horse-drawn sleighs and carriages, an 1894 Concord stagecoach, and a restored and animated 1894 Armitage-Herschell carousel.

Of special interest to children are the Amos Straw Country Store selling old-fashioned penny candy, and a Toy Shop where a large collection of trains, dolls, games and other toys invite lengthy window-shopping. The unique site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places; open daily mid-May through September.
