Bellaire

Bellaire is located in Antrim County (of which it is the county seat), and in the Northern Region.

This community is found at the crossing of Hwy 88 and the Bellaire Highway.

The village of Bellaire was founded on a stretch of property owned by Ambrose E. Palmer in 1879 after it was decided that a more central location was needed for the county seat. While originally named Keno, it was changed to Bellaire by Mr. Palmer, June 20, 1879, who made the suggestion for the name change taking into account the superp air quality.
