Carleton

Carleton is located in Monroe County, and in the Southeast Region (is also part of the Detroit, Michigan metropolitan area). You can find Carleton located off of I-275 south of Belleville.

Carleton is a small agricultural community, it contains several small businesses and restaurants, and has an operating grain elevator.

The land around Carleton was originally platted and laid out by Daniel Matthews in 1872, a land developer who also helped select the site of Lansing as the state capital.
