Cook Energy Information Center |
Visitors can explore alternative energy sources in 3 theatres through hands-on science activities. Outside, carved through the Center's coastal dunes, forest and wetland are 3 miles of Nipissing Dune Trails. Educational signs mark the three trails, giving hikers full-color photographs and descriptions of the wildlife and geology they may see along the paths. Open dawn-dusk it is a hike through Michigan's wilderness. The Center also has an indoor viewing area so that visitors can watch migrating and native birds feed outside the lobby window. The center also features terraced gardens adjacent Lake Michigan that offer breathtaking views.
