Copper Harbor is in Keweenaw County, and in the Northern Region. This community is located northeast of Hancock along US Highway 41 near Lake Medora and Lake Superior. Situated on the very northern tip of Michigan's Upper Peninsula.

Copper Harbor is a popular tourist attraction. In the summer months, many residents return to enjoy the cool Lake Superior breezes. Fort Wilkins State Historic Park is a popular destination for visitors. Fall offers a spectacular color display for you to enjoy. Copper is also a popular site for snowmobilers in the winter. The city has several gift and fudge shops, a gas station, and a few bars. Also a ferry service is available to Isle Royale.
