Davison is in
Genesee County, and in the
Central Region (part of the
Flint, Michigan metro area). This community is located at the junction of Davison Rd. and State Hwy 15. Davison is also found east of
Flint on I-69.
Davison was origanally pioneered in 1842 by Eleazer Thurston. The settlement was given a post office in 1850 with the name Davison Centre. It was later renamed Davison in 1864. It was incorporated as a village in 1889 and in time as a city in 1938.
