This zoo features The Wildlife Interpretive Gallery, a multidisciplinary, 10,000 square foot facility that interprets wildlife using theater, video, multi-media computers, interactive displays, art and nature. Nothing like it exists in other zoos. The Amphibian Center features hundreds of amphibians in habitat. The Arctic Ring of Life takes visitors on a trek to the North Pole, to tundra, open sea and pack ice of the Arctic and the animals that are distinctively adapted to life there. The Arctic Ring of Life also features a clear underwater tunnel. This Polar Passage allows guests to walk through the polar bear pool while the bears swim above. Closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day.
