Fountain is in Mason County, and in the West-Southwest Region. You can locate this community on W. Fountain Road off of US Hwy 31. Also located southeast of Manistee. Fountain was founded in 1882 as a station on the Pere Marquette Railroad. The town was named by Nicholas J. Bockstanz from a spring he observed there.
