Fowlerville Michigan |
Fowlerville is in Livingston County, and in the Southeast Region (part of the Ann Arbor, Michigan metro area). This community is accessed off of I-96.
This area was first pioneered by Ralph Fowler in 1836. A small community named Cedar was established shortly afterwards, while growing large enough to have a post office by 1838. In 1849, Fowler hired Amos Adams to officially plat the village; it was at that time Ralph renamed his town Fowlerville in 1853.
The economic support for Fowlerville comes primarily from its location as a bedroom community to the greater Lansing area.
