Gladstone is in Delta County, and in the Northern Region. You can locate this community by traveling just north of Escanaba between Escanaba and Rapid River along US Highway 2 on the banks of the Escanaba River near Little Bay De Noc and Lake Michigan.

Gladstone was originally named Minnewasca, Sioux for "White Water," in 1887.

This town is a favorite summer tourist attraction for shopping, boating, fishing and picnicking. It has a marina and waterfront park, and contains a variety of unique shops and restaurants in its business district.
