Sheridan Community Hospital (SCH) is a 25 licensed bed acute care hospital, located in the heart of Montcalm County. SCH serves Montcalm and parts of Ionia, Gratiot, Mecosta, and Isabella counties. In 1999, SCH became certified to provide care for patients requiring longer term stays. They now have a 10 bed Swing-Bed (hospital-based nursing) unit. SCH has been giving homelike, personal care since 1944. Services offered include emergency care, a walk-in clinic, inpatient and outpatient services, medical/surgical care, same day surgery, pulmonary diagnostics, mobile diagnostics, CT scanning, ultrasound, radiology, and various other diagnostic testing. Additionally, SCH offers a variety of health promotion programs like monthly education workshops, health screenings, blood pressure clinics, diabetes education, and support groups.
