New Haven is in Macomb County, and in the Southeast Region (part of the Detroit, Michigan metropolitan area).

You can locate this community on New Haven Rd. off of I-94 and also located northwest of New Baltimore on Washington St.

New Haven was settled in 1835, while being originally named New Baltimore Station. In 1838, it was organized and named New Haven by one of the town fathers, Adam A. Bennett. In 1865, the Grand Trunk Railroad constructed a rail through here on the way to Port Huron, which assured the towns existence. It was incorporated as a village in 1869.

Today, New Haven's economy is mainly supported by a steel mill and some small businesses. It also functions as a commuter town to the greater Detroit metro area, while still keeping a small-town-like atmosphere.
