Penrod's AuSable River Resort

The Penrod's AuSable River Resort is a family owned and run business offering canoe, kayak, mountain bike rentals, a T-shirt shop, and cabin and cottage rentals. All cabins are of rustic construction and come with T.V., gas heat, picnic table, grill, and shower. Most of them are on the AuSable river. The cabins are open spring, summer and fall. Kitchen cabins are usually rented only for full weeks from mid-June to mid-August. Penrod's store offers necessaries like film, fishing maps and information, ponchoes, water proof containers, insect repellent, sun screen, lip balm, and sun glasses. Hartwick Pines State Park, Fish Hatchery, Swim Lake Margrethe are the nearby attractions.
