Parchment

Parchment is in Kalamazoo County, and in the West-Southwest Region (part of the Kalamazoo-Battle Creek, Michigan metropolitan area). This community is located on Riverview Dr. and situated along Kalamazoos northern border on the picturesque Kalamazoo River.

At one time, Parchment was known as the worlds largest paper producing area in the world. That tradition continues today, with the paper industry serving as the citys main source of economic support.

Parchment was incorporated as a village in 1931 and shortly afterwards as a city in 1938.
