Soo Junction is in Luce County, and in the Northern Region. This community is located west of Sault Ste Marie between Newberry and Sault Ste Marie along Highway 28 near Hulbert Lake. Situated in Michigan's Upper Peninsula region. Soo Junction was established as a station on the D.S.S & Railroad in 1893. By around 1909 Soo Junction added a hotel, saloon, and boarding house. In 1927, Mrs. Clark took over the boarding house and converted it to a grocery store and restaurant.
