Van Andel Museum CenterPublic Museum of Grand Rapids |
Located on Pearl Street, this museum has exhibits depicting the heritage and manufacturing traditions of Grand Rapids, including a partially operational reconstruction of an early 20th century furniture factory. The museum also houses a 76-foot finback whale skeleton, as well as an operational Spillman carousel. Visitors can walk through a re-creation of a downtown street in 1890s Grand Rapids. The street includes a theater, department store, nine other shops and the sounds and sights of the times. Food is available.
Open daily 9am-5pm.
