Warren is located in
Macomb County just north of
Detroit between
Royal Oak and St Clair Shores along Interstate 75 on the banks of the Detoit River near Anchor Bay and Lake St Clair.

Warren is part of the Detroit, Michigan metro area.
Warren is known as the City of Progress. Warren was settled in 1835, became a village in 1909 and was finally incorporated as a city in 1957.
