Young State Park is located on Lake Charlevoix, an inland lake offering boaters access to Lake Michigan. Lake Charlevoix is 17,260 acres and is popular for sailing, powerboating, water-skiing, and fishing. There is a boat launch within the park for boats under 16 feet in length. Lake Charlevoix is stocked annually with rainbow, brown, and lake trout.
Young State Park has 240 modern campsites with electricity. There is easy access to bathroom and shower facilities as well.
