Alexandria Minnesota

Alexandria is located in Douglas County (of which it is the county seat) between Fergus Falls and St Cloud on Hwy 29 just above I-94, in the West Central Lakes Region. Formed by the receding of at least four major glaciers nearly 20,000 years ago, Alexandria Lakes Area features lakes and rivers, forests, meadows and rolling hills. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 8,351, an increase of 322 since 1990.
