Burnsville is located south of
Minneapolis off of I-35. Burnsville is part of the
Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area.
Burnsville was a largely Irish farming community which has grown from 2,700 people in 1960 to become the tenth largest city in the state, in Twin Cities Metro Region.
