Herman is located in
Grant County, on Hwy 27, about twenty-five miles east of where Minnesota and the two Dakotas come together. In the
West Central Lakes Region, Herman is known for mining and celebrates an annual 'Iron Pour'.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 490, an increase of five since 1990.
