The Driftwood resort is located on the northwest shore of Sand Lake, a top walleye fishing lake in Itasca County. Six cabins are nestled in 10 acres of pristine northwoods at the heart of the Chippewa National Forest. The resort offers six comfortable housekeeping cabins, all with tremendous views of the lake. All cabins are two bedrooms with maximum occupancy of four to six people. Each cabin is clean and equipped with coffee pots, toasters and a full compliment of pots, pans, dishes, glassware and silverware. Every cabin has its own BBQ grill, picnic table and lawn chairs.Our resort activities include a Marshmallow Roast, a Pot Luck Supper, and a visit to an area nature center. The resort hosts an ongoing fishing contest open to all guests with weekly and annual prizes for the largest fish in several species.
