Located in the scenic Cannon River Valley on the shore of Lake Byllesby Reservoir, Lake Byllesby Regional Park is just minutes south of St. Paul and Minneapolis. The largest lake in Dakota County, Lake Byllesby is the focal point for many water-enthusiasts, offering a boat launch and activities like power boating, sailing, wind surfing, and fishing. A new beach bathhouse, beach curtain, and other improvements complement the swimming area; land-lovers can enjoy picnicking and hiking, RV and tent camping at the Lake Byllesby campground, and biking on the nearby Cannon Valley Trail. A lakeside picnic shelter accommodates groups of up to 150 and can be reserved for company picnics, family reunions, and more. A children's play area adjoins the picnic area.
