This is one of the few active lighthouses on Lake Superior. Visitors are invited to go to the top of the lighthouse and explore the grounds, which include a lighthouse keeper's home furnished with antiques, the control room from a ship that sunk and was recovered, and a small nautical museum containing many old photographs of shipping activities. Open Memorial Day through Labor Day.
