This 350-acre regional facility is located on the northeast side of Lake Minnewashta, and is operated by the Parks Division of Carver County Public Works. Existing facilities include two boat accesses, swimming beach, picnic areas, three picnic shelters, a bath house, a maintenance shop, a large children's play structure, and groomed cross-country ski trails. Future plans include a natural interpretive center, additional parking, and an open field area. Because it is designed to provide recreational facilities not found in municipal parks, it will not contain active play areas such as ball diamonds, tennis courts, or hockey rinks. Reservations for one of the picnic shelters are accepted.
