St. Cloud Hospital has a rich tradition of caring for the people of Central Minnesota. Since being founded by the Sisters of the Order of St. Benedict in 1886, they have grown from a small, community hospital to a comprehensive, high-quality regional medical center. Currently the hospital has more than 3,600 employees and 335 doctors representing 40 medical specialties.
St. Cloud Hospital is part of CentraCare Health System, a not-for-profit, integrated health care delivery system. In addition to St. Cloud Hospital, the health system includes: Hospitals in Long Prairie and Melrose, 10 CentraCare Clinic sites across Central Minnesota, Numerous specialty care programs, including the Central Minnesota Heart Center and Coborn Cancer Center and 4 long-term care facilities. CentraCare Health System serves more than 565,000 people in a 12-county area of Central Minnesota.
