Hennepin County, Minnetonka is a prominent residential community within the
Minneapolis-St. Paul. One of the oldest area resort communities, it lies on Lake Minnetonka, formed by glacial melting following the last Ice Age, and one of the largest lakes in the state, boasting 110 miles of shoreline. The town center is found at Minnetonka Boulevard and I-494, west of Minneapolis.
