The museum offers hands-on activities for toddlers to teens in four permanent galleries and two changing galleries. Habitot is especially designed for infants and toddlers. World Works allows children to use tools to discover, change and understand the world. Children can create a thunderstorm, explore a giant anthill maze and crawl into a muskrat lodge in Earth World. In One World, children can make friends within an intercultural community. Open Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, 9am-5pm; Friday, 9am - 8pm; and Monday (Memorial Day-Labor Day), 9am - 5 pm. Closed Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
