Located at the Mower county fairgrounds, the center contains historic buildings, including a working blacksmith's shop, a church built in 1867 and a schoolhouse. Three museums display American Indian artifacts, antique fire engines and a hand-carved wooden circus as well as replicas of a pioneer house and a train depot with a caboose and three railroad cars.
