In the
Pines and Mines Region, Moose Lake is located in
Carlton County. Calling itself the "Gateway to the Arrowhead Country," It lies on Hwy 27 just west of I-35, next to Moose Late State Park.
The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 1,613, an increase of 236 since 1990.
