In the West Central Lakes Region, New Prague is located in Le Sueur County, at the junction of Hwys 19 and 21. It takes pride in its rich Bavarian and Bohemian heritage, as reflected in its name. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 4,160, an increase of 591 since 1990.
