Waconia

In West Central Lakes Region, Waconia is located in Carver County, on Hwy 5, on the southwest edge of the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area. Each year a vintage sled race is held on Lake Waconia nearby.

The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,246, an increase of 1,748 since 1990.
