This resort is located on Garden Lake, on the Kawishiwi River chain of lakes. Garden Lake Resort is easy to reach - only five miles from Ely. From Ely, follow Hwy. 169 east for 1.5 miles. Turn right on County Road 58/16, and follow for 1.5 miles. Turn left on Garden Lake Road and follow for 1 mile; take left fork in road at the top of the hill and follow for .25 (1/4) mile to Garden Lake Resort. Its housekeeping cabins feature a kitchen or dinning room with built-in cabinets, full size appliances, several small appliances, pots, pans, and dishes. Living room is furnished with a sleeper or hide-a-bed couch for extra sleeping requirements and has a large picture window with a beautiful lake view. All cabins are insulated and winterized making them warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
