From 1864 to 1870, this was the home of Missouri artist George Caleb Bingham and his wife. The 22-room mansion and 19-acre estate were purchased in 1879 by the Waggoner family. The house, built in 1855, was extensively remodeled in the 1890s and has been restored to that period.
