Truman Medical Center

Quality, compassion, customer service and innovation form the nucleus of the Truman Medical Centers? mission of providing quality, accessible medical care to the Kansas City community. Results from the National Quality Initiative suggest that TMC is not only fulfilling the mission, TMC is a true community asset. The Quality Initiative is a national effort to provide information to help the public make informed decisions about medical care. This spring, all KC area hospitals, including TMC, began voluntarily submitting data on three common health problems: heart attack, heart failure and pneumonia.

TMC is the primary teaching hospital for the University of Missouri-Kansas City Schools of Health Sciences. Many Kansas City doctors in practice today were trained at TMC. In fact, 90-percent of Emergency Room physicians were trained at TMC Hospital Hill!
