The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis continues to serve patients from throughout the region and from around the world. The Rehabilitation Institute will serve as a national test site for a groundbreaking new therapeutic device that will greatly benefit patients with conditions that affect their ability to walk.

The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis is the first hospital in the St Louis region solely dedicated to acute medical rehabilitation services. The hospital?s team consists of 280 professionals trained in a variety of rehabilitative medicine disciplines and more than 70 attending and consulting physicians.

The hospital already is known for its care of individuals with stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, cancer and orthopedic conditions. The $25 million, 80-bed hospital opened in 2001 adjacent to the Washington University Medical Center campus in mid-town St Louis.
