Lebanon-Laclede County Library, serving an area of 33,000 residents, has a collection of 69,000 books and periodicals; in addition, there are 4,400 CDs, records, cassettes and other audio materials, as well as 2,000 video items, such as DVDs and VHS tapes. Internet terminals are available for use by the general public. Staffing consists of 12 employees, of whom 3 are fully accredited librarians, plus volunteers. Annual expenditures on the library collection total $84,000. Patrons make 147,000 visits annually, and check out materials 160,000 times. Forty percent of all check-outs are children's materials.

It is a perfect way to spend a summer evening with family and friends. They have several programs to study and explore such as Speaker's Bureau and Poster and Sonnet Contest. The faculty includes theatre professionals, actors, and educators experienced in performing and teaching Shakespeare. Many of the instructors are veterans of festival productions.
