General Sweeny's Museum of Civil War displays artifacts and weapons of the war in the Trans-Mississippi, more familiarly known as the area west of the Mississippi River. The collection consists of several thousand artifacts that have been accumulated over the last 40 years.
It is a unique collection, displayed in over 50 exquisite and professionally designed cases. Collectibles include artifacts from the battle, weapons, a uniform, photographs of participants from both sides, and two of the five Congressional Medals of Honor awarded for gallantry in this action. Branson's IMAX Theater and Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World are nearby.
