The state's highest peak, located 1,772 feet above sea level in the St Francois mountains is the highlight of this 6,888-acre state park. Mina Sauk Falls, the state's highest waterfall, is also contained within the park grounds as well as the Devil's Tollgate, a local geological wonder. Wooded igneous rock knobs are dotted with glades and covered with thick blankets of prairie grass. The park features rugged hiking trails, including a portion of the Ozark Trail, as well as picnicking areas and a primitive camping area. Located nine miles southwest of Ironton, off Missouri 21-72.
