Trenton is located in
Grundy County, of which it is the county seat, 24 miles south of Princeton between Tindall and Farmersville along Highway 6 on the banks of the Thompson River near
Crowder State Park. The population estimate for July 1, 1998 was 5,774, a decrease of 355 since 1990.
