Ballet Magnificat was founded in 1986 by Kathy Thibodeaux to pursue excellence in the arts, and reclaim them for the church. It intrigues audiences with spiritually compelling programs on themes such as joy, forgiveness, worship and the Holy Spirit, and interprets scripture through the art of dance.
Its mission is to present the gospel of Jesus Christ to the widest possible audience through the medium of dance, dance/drama and personal witness, to help in the restoration of dance as a worshipful part of the life of the Church, and to present public performances for special audiences such as children’s homes, hospitals, and senior citizen’s centers.
