Ackley Lake State Park

Ackley Lake, named after an early settler and frontiersman, offers a variety of water sports opportunities. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and offers good angling for 10 to 15 inch fish. As a "primitive" park, there are no fees to use the park. There are 23 campsites. Facilities consist of picnic tables, vault toilets, grills, fire rings, and drinking water from May through September. Pets are allowed on leash only. The maximum stay is 14 days during a 30-day period. The park is pack-in and pack-out. To reach the park, travel 17 miles west of Lewistown on Hwy 87 to Hobson, the 5 miles south on Secondary 400, then 2 miles SW on county road.
