Blue Mountain Recreation Area

Search Missoula Montana

Blue Mountain has lots of variety. There are ATV trails, trails for horses and pedestrians only, mountain bike trails, a handicapped access overlook and an accessible interpretive trail. Above the recreation area are an active fire lookout and the Graves Range Trail for 4X4 driving.

The big hillside is popular with dog walkers that don't want to leash their dogs.

To reach the site from Missoula, follow Highway 93 south to Blue Mountain Road. Follow that road 1 mile up to the first trailhead. Open all year.
